Capabilities

As a custom fabricator of Shell & Tube heat exchangers we are constantly widening our manufacturing horizons. Our current manufacturing capabilities include:

Maximum thickness of shell 6" (dependent on diameter)
Maximum thickness of tubesheets 13" to 15"(dependent on diameter)
Three Stress relieving furnaces, the largest of which is 16' x 16' x 50' with railcar access from plant to oven
Nondestructive testing capabilities include helium leak, pneumatic leak, Brinell hardness, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle examination, positive material identification, radiography, and others per customer requirements.
Oxygen cleaning capability (our oxygen cleaning procedure is accepted by the industry leaders in oxygen manufacturing)
Hydrotesting capabilities up to 20,000 PSI with a strip chart recorder, if required.
The latest in overlay welding technology, Including automatic tube to tubesheet welding
Oil flush capabilities to 5 micron filter

Fabrication Size Capabilities

Bos-Hatten can fabricate vessels up to 14 feet in diameter 50 feet long and 100 tons. Heavier vessels can be handled with special accommodations if necessary. Bos-Hatten is also capable of fabricating units as small as 2" in diameter. No Job is too big or too small.

If you wish to fabricate a Heat Exchanger using materials not listed above, do not hesitate to send us the inquiry. Bos-Hatten regularly qualifies weld procedures for new materials and can subcontract Reactive Alloy welding such as Titanium Tantalum and Zirconium.

Drilling and Machining Capabilities

Bos-Hatten has complete drilling and machining capabilities for fast track projects. Additionally, we can subcontract machining and drilling to state-of-the-art machining facilities to comply with the most rigid and/or unusual requirements and tolerances, while maintaining the best possible prices.

Quality Control

Bos-Hatten has an ASME accepted Quality Control Program. Evidence of compliance can be verified by reviewing a controlled copy of our Quality Control Manual at our shop for an in-house quality inspection. All of Bos-Hatten's shops are open for your inspector's review at their convenience.

ASME Code Stamps

Bos-Hatten is an ASME code Certified shop. Bos-Hatten holds ASME code stamps of U, U2,S and R.
